While a bit of hyperbole I have a quote I like from a friend of mine: "The decline of Western Civilization began the first time a parent said to a child 'yes but, how do you feel about it'". Children grow up these days blaming all of their problems on other people because they watch their parents do the same. If Daddy can't find a job it's not because he's a high school drop-out with three felonies, no, it's because no-one wants to give him a chance. It makes me sick to be perfectly honest. I blame most of societies ills on parents. It's a lesson that is easy for them to learn early and very costly for them to learn later on. It certainly helped me understand how costly a DUI would be way before I even was inclined to drink.
