Mondays suck! No two ways around it. For instance I finally went back to Muxtape and read the full story of why it’s dead and not coming back like it was. I can imagine most people are not having much fun today. So let me brighten up your day just a little bit. Get your ass over to Lucero‘s Site and pick the Ben Nichols solo EP. It’s a damn shame it’s an EP but the price is right and you get immediate access to a DRM free mp3 download and as a bonus you get to support one of the best bands I know.
Apparently the album is based Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy which I am now reading. So for more fun drop by Amazon and grab a copy of the book to read. I can’t place my stamp of approval on it just yet as I am barely done with the first chapter but it hasn’t made me want to put it down just yet.
For those who already love Lucero I feel I must warn you that it’s not a Lucero album. It is a Ben Nichols album and I am amazed by it, as I always am with Ben. I will be seeing Ben tonight at The Revival Tour (linked in my last post) and then it’s on to Dallas to install a sixteen node cluster and hopefully have dinner with a friend I haven’t see in a while. I’ll try to post from the road but no promises. It’s been hard to slow things down and post these days.
