It’s been a long week. To completely honest they are all long weeks right now. I ain’t posting to complain though I am merely setting the scene.
I now know how to set up a software RAID on Linux, remotely, with no data loss. That was an interesting lesson and now we have a checklist so it won’t be a major issue on the next two clusters we have to do. Not that anyone reading cares much about that level of geekdom but I wanted to point out that I got it working and wrote the technical doc for it. Not that anything else went all that easy but what the heck if it were always fun and easy they wouldn’t have to pay me for it.
I am so wiped out right now I don’t have much to say. Everyone, save me, around here is sick. I was up until almost 0500 with two of them and the damn wife woke up sick (check the moniker under which she posts here if you think I’m being snide) so I have had four whole hours of sleep and been dealing with puke for the better part of a dozen hours. It’s not been a fun weekend yet and likely won’t be. The best I can hope for is early bed for the kids and a movie at this point.
Anyway I need to go to the store and get the rest of the fixins for the chicken soup. I’ll try to post more later.
